Farmer's Markets
(Schedules Below)
There are several farmers’
markets open to the consumer throughout the summer and fall. (See schedules
below.) Farmer’s markets have become popular shopping options for customers.
They are where growers can bring their agricultural products, set up a display,
and sell off of their trucks. We currently go to three markets weekly-Franklin,
Providence, RI, and Worcester.
Our farm stand is our primary retail outlet. Our sites at the farmer’s
markets are usually a 10 ft. by 10 ft. space. We only bring the most popular
and plentiful items we have that week. But at a market like these, where there
are several growers, if we don’t have an item you are looking for perhaps
someone else has brought it that week.
Most markets have a variety of locally grown produce and locally made products. They usually have fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, honey, and herbs. Some markets have locally made cheeses, bake goods, breads, soaps, specialty products and crafts. These types of open air markets can be a lot of fun for the whole family with a lot of things to see and do. Some have activities for children and special events going on throughout the season.
